ACADEMICS
How is the curriculum taken forward in Pre-Primary and Primary?
Pre-Primary:
We introduce each concept using an activity followed by discussion, writing and revising the concept. We use Jolly Phonics and emphasize on developing reading skills, during the initial years. A lot of celebrations and events are carried out to make learning at school fun.
Primary:
We introduce each concept through an activity followed by explanation of the chapter, writing answers of the text and reasoning-based questions as well. We don’t promote rote learning; instead encourage children to read the chapter, comprehend and develop their own understanding.
Will there be a lot of Home Work? I have heard it is tough to learn in CBSE schools.
Learning is fun when the environment, the student and the teacher are all in sync with each other. We ensure that the entire journey of learning is a joyful one. Academic method is different from state boards but not tough!
What is the mode of Examination and Assessment?
The school follows the mode of Examinations and Assessment as directed by the CBSE Board. We have two Periodic Tests, one Half Yearly examination and an Annual examination through out the year. We also have weekly dictations, mental math tests, class tests, monthly presentations and projects in each term as an initiative to evaluate the child across the year on various aspects.
